Wicked problem

A vague, confusing, and unique problem you only understand after solving it.

For instance, a design problem usually is a wicked problem: requirements formulated to express needs and desires are often incomplete, inconsistent, imprecise, or ambiguous (see Towards a Knowledge Level Theory of Design Process).
